			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>During the last few weeks, as I campaigned  door-to-door, neighborhood by neighborhood, I had the opportunity to visit with many constituents  of  the 62nd District.  While sitting on their front porches or in their living rooms, most have been eager to share their hopes, needs, and concerns for our district.   Issues such as taxes, traffic, health care, roads, and schools are the common thread of these discussions.    Equally important is the need for jobs that will keep our young people here and will allow children of retirees who have settled in the area to follow.   A strong sense of family and community  was part of each conversation.</p>

<p><font face="Verdana, sans-serif"><font size="1" style="font-size: 8pt">Republican Jeff Justus will announce his candidacy for State House seat this Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. at the L &amp; J Plumbing Supply store in Stone County, located between Branson West and Kimberling City.</font></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0.17in; line-height: 0.19in"><font face="Verdana, sans-serif"><font size="1" style="font-size: 8pt">Justus will outline his vision for Stone and Taney counties, and then embark on a 3-day, 180-mile bicycle ride to Jefferson City. The ride symbolizes his willingness to work hard and make voices from his district heard in the State Legislature. Emphasis will be on receiving our fair share of State funding for tourism, road and bridges and our school systems. Promotion of physical fitness and healthier lifestyles rounds out the agenda.</font></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0.17in; line-height: 0.19in"><font face="Verdana, sans-serif"><font size="1" style="font-size: 8pt">Born in Southwest Missouri and raised in Branson, Justus is no stranger to public service. He has served as a member and past president of the Branson-Hollister Rotary Club, the Branson Chamber of Commerce Board. Justus currently serves as Chairman on the Table Rock Lake Area Chamber Board. As Chairman of the Small Business Advisory Council and member of Branson Advisory Park Board, and other community boards, Justus knows what can be accomplished with cooperation and volunteerism. </font></font></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0.17in; line-height: 0.19in"><font face="Verdana, sans-serif"><font size="1" style="font-size: 8pt">After graduating from Austin College in Sherman, Texas in 1976 with a degree in Business Administration, Justus bicycled across the United States before applying his knowledge to the family business. He has successfully managed the family business, L &amp; J Plumbing Supply for 31 years.</font></font></p>
